She was born in Newburgh, NY on February 15th, 1928. Teresa was married to the late Emil J. Valentine Sr. for 69 years.
Teresa was a licensed beautician for many years and enjoyed working in the jewelry department at Rosenbaum's in her later years. Teresa was a loving, caring wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Being with her family was what she enjoyed most in her life. Her love and giving ways made all those she came in contact with always feel special. She was a lifetime member of Sacred Heart Church and volunteered in the library when her children attended Sacred Heart School.
She was the last surviving sister of her siblings, Vincent Guariglia, Mary Dubaldi, Rose Calcagno, Lucy Tallerico and Rita Palkovic.
She is survived by her children, Rosanne Connors (Mark, deceased) of Rochester, New Hampshire, Sandra Wetzel (Tom) of Newburgh and Emil J. Valentine Jr. (Jamie) of Newburgh; grandchildren; Mark (Mattea), Sara (Erik), Lauren (Joseph), Mark (Mandy), Daniel, E.J. (Alyssa), Ashley, Robby, Christina and Chessie (Jordan); great-grandchildren: Megan, Emma, Kristin, Ryan, Benjamin, Hayden, Jacob, Jonathan, Tressa, Lilah, Sebastian and Giuseppe and many nieces and nephews.
In the last years of her life, Teresa also enjoyed special relationships with her daily caregivers; Ashley (her granddaughter), Karen, Allan, Jennifer, Miriam, Elizabeth and Corrine. A very special "thank you" to them all for the loving ways in which they cared for her.
