Mildred Marie Lent - Class of 1948

  Mildred Marie Lent was born in Newburgh on October 24, 1930 to Frederick and Eleanor Lent. She attended Newburgh schools and was a lifelong member of the First Congregational Church of Newburgh. She was employed by the Leather Novelty and Plastic Workers, and made belts, bags, and other goods.

Mildred loved animals, especially cats. She was an avid supporter of the ASPCA. Mildred enjoyed shopping with her friends, reading books of all kinds, especially mysteries. She liked watching television and was a faithful fan of the sitcom Friends and all of its reruns.

Mildred passed away Thursday, July 18, 2024. She was 93 years old. Mildred was predeceased by her parents, Eleanor and Frederick.

Mildred was a faithful friend to all who knew her. She enjoyed good conversation and banter, as she had a lovely sense of humor. She was kind to all, and was sure to share her appreciation and goodwill to others. She will be missed by all who knew her. - October 24, 1930 ~ July 18, 2024

A graveside service will be held at 12 pm on Tuesday, July 23, 2024 at St. George's Cemetery, Newburgh, with Pastor Richard Letts of the First Congregational Church of Newburgh officiating.
