Lucas Bernard Drost - Class of 1981

    Lucas Bernard Drost of New Windsor, NY passed away peacefully in New York City on September 12, 2024, surrounded by his family.

He was born on December 17,1963 in Suffern, NY to Louis D. and Bernadette (Genon) Drost. He was employed at Yellow Freight, Maybrook NY for 37 years.

Lucas was a one-of-a-kind soul who loved life to the fullest, and family was the most important thing in his life. He was a passionate and devoted sports fan. Some of his favorites being the LA Rams, NY Knicks, Pittsburgh Pirates and the Buffalo Sabres. His favorite thing was spending time with his girls. Although he had no children of his own, he was always proud to treat them as such. Ithycah, Ariana, Ryan and Destiny were the loves of his life. We can't forget Zeus, his four-legged best friend.

Lucas is survived by his brother, Jay L. Drost; Ana Maria Espada his loving partner of 28 years; and Monica Espada, Cyrina Cisneros, Ithycah, Ariana, Destiny, Ryan and Irene, and all of his large loving family.

A heartfelt thank you from the family to all the friends who have reached out over the past months and weeks, your love, prayers and support have been overwhelming. Thank you to Memorial Sloan Kettering staff, for their compassion and attention during these difficult times.

A celebration of life will take place on Thursday September 19, 2024 at Brooks Funeral Home 481 Gidney Ave, Newburgh, NY from 4PM to 7PM. - December 17, 1963 ~ September 12, 2024
