Judith Hodgeson Gonzalez - Class of 1965

    Judith Hodgson Gonzalez, 77 years old of Wallkill, NY, entered into rest on November 14, 2024 surrounded by her family.

The daughter of the late Richard S. Hodgson & Frances Jablonski Hodgson, she was born March 29, 1947 in Newburgh, NY. Her siblings include her sister Susan Oswald (deceased) and her brother Richard Hodgson (Melissa Hodgson). Her given name at birth was Judith Patience Hodgson.

She was married on November 8, 1991 to Roy (Papa) Gonzalez in Newburgh, NY.

She was a graduate of Newburgh Free Academy Class of 1965, as well as Krissler Business Institute in 1966. She retired from the City of Newburgh, where she worked from 1980-2004. When she moved back from Hawaii in 1965 to Newburgh she worked on the family farm.

Judy loved to travel when she could, and enjoyed beaches, casinos, and cruises. Judy's biggest hobby of them all was spoiling her grandchildren and her nieces and nephews. She loved spending as much time as she could with her granddaughter Madelyn. Boy did she love to shop.

Judy is survived by her husband Roy Gonzalez, son Jon Paul Krol, daughter Judy Krol, son Mark "Markie-Her Sunshine" Krol (deceased), stepson Brett Gonzalez (Kimberly Gonzalez), grandchildren Madelyn Krol (Kevin Cottelli Jr.) Kelsey Berg and Evan Gonzalez; several nieces, nephews and cousins; and her dearest friends Lorraine Roy and Paula Gliedman, who were always by her side.

She was loved dearly by everyone that met her.

Visitation will be held at Brooks Funeral Home on Monday, November 18, 2024, from 4 ~ 7 PM. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10 AM on Tuesday, November 19, 2024, at St. Mary's Church, 180 South Street, Newburgh. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery, New Windsor.
