Michael Seibert - Class of 1966

Michael Paul Seibert passed away peacefully on November 23, 2024, at Hudson Valley Hospice in Hyde Park, N.Y., surrounded by his loving family. Michael was born September 7, 1947 in Newburgh and was the son of the late Eveyln Ulrich and Rudolph (Jimmy) Seibert.
Michael was a US Marine Veteran, a Member and Past President of Goodwill Fire Company, a past Member of the Town of Newburgh Volunteer Ambulance Corp., a Member of Orange County Firemen's Association and Hudson Valley Firemen's Association. Michael shared a passion for his 1923 Model T car with the Model T Ford Club of America, Model T Ford Club International and Orange County Antique Car Association. He was also known by many young dancers as "Mr. Anita", head of Scenery and production for the Anita-Jean Dance Theatre.
He is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Anita-Jean of Marlboro, his sister, Linda Tompkins of Newburgh, his daughers Denise Gannon of Coxsackie, and Heather Samuels of Pleasant Valley, his grandchildren, Christopher and Eric Davies of Catskill, Amanda Harvey of Pleasant Valley, great granddaughter Gemma Mae Davies of Catskill and many nieces and nephews. Mike was predeceased by his son, Michael Paul Seibert Jr. of Middletown and brother-in-law, Robert Tompkins of Newburgh. The family wishes to thank the amazing doctors and nurses of Montefiore St. Luke's Cornwall Hospital, the VA at Castle Point, and Hudson Valley Hospice of Hyde Park for their compassionate care.
Family and friends will gather for a celebration of his life at a later date.
