Monique Lillian Robinson, 63, passed away at home on Wednesday, November 4, 2026.

Born in 1963 in Boise, Idaho, she was the daughter to the late James and Julie Mae Robinson.

Monique attended Newburgh Free Academy in Newburgh, New York. Following her education, she started working in the healthcare field as a Geriatric Nursing Assistant and a Certified Nursing Assistant.

Monique was a loving and helpful person, she truly wanted to help anyone that she could. Let that be through making someone laugh with her humor or lending a hand when in need. That also meant if telling the truth would help you, she would.

Family was absolutely everything to her, her daughter and grandchildren were her world.

Monique is survived by her daughter, Ranada (Akil) Wood and her grandchildren, Akil Wood Jr., Akir Wood, and Aria Wood. Her sisters, Rose Monroe, Bernandine Pearson, and Christy Sewell and her brother, Lamar Robinson. As well as a host of nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brother, David Gillis.

Friends and family are welcome to gather on Friday, November, 13, 2026 from 3:00pm to 4:00pm at New Comer Cremations and Funerals, 181 Troy Schenectady RD., Watervliet, NY 12189.
