Submitted by Pauline Rute Hall 1952 <Grammypgh@aol.com> on 08/Jun/2011 Message: Justina Yablonsky VanDunk, of Newburgh and Napanoch, a sales manager for the Bon-Ton Department Store in Newburgh entered into rest Sunday, June 5, 2011 at Good Samaritan Hospital after a 9 year fight with hereditary breast cancer. She was 36. The daughter of the late Stefan J. and Barbara Lyons Yablonsky Sr., she was born June 10, 1974 in Newburgh. She graduated from NFA in 1992 and attended Dutchess County Community College. She was an advocate for young women with breast cancer, member of UBCF and the Breast Cancer Options of Kingston. Justina was involved with the care of animals with the Pit Bull rescue in Ulster County. She is survived by her husband, Taurus VanDunk and her daughter, Esperanza Colon of Napanoch; a brother, Paul Yablonsky of Cornwall; sisters, Anastasia "Stacey" Westhauser and husband, Mark of Wallkill, NY, Paula Yablonsky and her husband, Mark Gibbons of Murrysville, PA and a niece, Erica Yablonsky-Gibbons and her beloved dogs, Prince and Bear. Stacey and her late brother, Stefan "John" are loving godparents to Justina. She was predeceased by her brothers, Bruce Yablonsky in 1973 and Stefan "John" Yablonsky Jr. in 2008. Vistitation will be held today, Wednesday, June 8 from 3-7 p.m. at White & Venuto Funeral Home, 188 North Plank Rd. (Rt. 32) Newburgh, NY. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m., Thursday, June 9 at The Church of The Most Precious Blood, Walnut Street, Walden, NY. Cremation will follow the mass at Cedar Hill Crematory, Newburgh, NY. In lieu of flowers, please make memorial contribution to United Breast Cancer Foundation, 223 Wall St., Huntington, NY 11743.
