Submitted by Pauline Rute Hall 1952 <Grammypgh@aol.com> on 09/Aug/2011 Message: Francis Marc Callahan 94, of Port Orange passed on at his home Sunday, August 7th, 2011. Born in Newburgh, NY he moved to Port Orange in 1991 after living in Stony Point, NY for forty years. He was a research chemist for Lederlie Laboratories for over four decades, a member of Epiphany Catholic Church and a Fourth Degree member of the Knights of Columbus for seventy-five years. He is survived by his children, Michael Callahan of Port Orange, Mary Waikins and her husband, (Jerry) Waikins of Daytona Beach, Anne Callahan and her husband, Charles Croce of Philadelphia, and Ellen Callahan of San Fransisco. He his also survived by his sister, Rose Morris of Newburgh, NY. He will be missed by his five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. A Mass of the Christian burial will be Wednesday, August 10th at Epiphany Catholic Church with the Rev., Father Michael Giglio, Port Orange, officiating. Interment will follow in Woodland Cemnetry. Friends may call at the Shannon Maloney Funeral Home, 4084 Halifax Drive, Port Orange, FL on Tuesday (today), 6-8 p.m. The Knights of Columbus Assembly 0165 will conduct services at 7:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Knights of Columbus Assembly 0165, 317 Mullally St., Daytona Beach, FL 32114.
