After NFA I went to the Univ of Rochester upstate, met my wife there, and
we're married nearly 40 years. I taught school in Rochester for a couple
years and then went to Syracuse Univ Law School. When I got out my first
law job was in NJ and I've been here ever since. After practicing with a
large firm for 3 years I was asked to join an established attorney in Bergen
County and became a partner. Although I'm now semi-retired, I still have a
law office in Fair Lawn where I've practiced since 1976. For about 20 years
I also had an office in NY. My wife has been a 6th grade schoolteacher in
Englewood for over 25 years. We have 2 kids, a son 34 who's an attorney in
Southern NJ, and a daughter, 31 who works in computer development in
Boston. We have 2 grandsons, 7 and 4. My family's business, started by my
grandfather 75 years ago, is a large industrial park in Rockland County, NY,
and I still work there part time as well. My wife and I travel quite a bit
and have been all over the world to something like 70 countries. In 2 weeks
we will be going to Panama with our kids and grandsons for our 12th
Christmas there. We go often to Europe and have been to nearly every country
in Central and South America. We also are avid golfers and play as much as
we can in season. I've become involved in several charitable organizations
both in NJ and in Newburgh. We are all healthy, for which I suddenly feel
very thankful, after reading the obituary list on your website.

Ted Owens 1964 apowen@localnet.com Hi Bill and everyone who was around Newburgh when I lived there! I retired
from police work in New York in 1995. I was a N.Y.S. certified police
instructor, warrant control officer, field training officer and wore a host
of other hats including criminal investigator & detective during my career.
In addition, I was the Chief Constable for the Town of Rochester where my 15
minutes of "fame" was successfully removing the Reverend Sun Myung Moon of
the infamous "Moonies" and his indoctrination camp from the state. Prior to
my full time law enforcement career I was a N.Y.S. certified Building
Inspector, Code Enforcement Officer and Zoning Inspector for the Town of
Rochester. I was also an elected fire commissioner, served two terms and ran
unopposed. We are now living at 21053 Indiana Avenue in Port Charlotte,
Florida. I built my first motorcycle at age 13 at my parents home on the
south side of North Plank Road at the foot of Chadwicks lake which my Dad
Clarence W. Owens helped build for Tom Chadwick. I've lost count of the
motorcycles that I've owned since and have a current bike web site at
http://members.localnet.com/~apowen/ which may be of interest to some of
you. I took a very lovely classmate from our class of '64 on her very first
motorcycle ride earlier this year and her expertise at horseback riding paid
off. Leslie Pesetzky is a natural biker and I hardly knew she was on unless
she tapped me on the shoulder with a question about some Florida sight!
Leslie was one of the original twelve of us students at N.F.A. who under the
auspices of Bernard "Bernie" Barnes launched the first accredited high
school course in B&W photography in the state! We pretty much had free
passes to photograph most school activities and quickly earned the nickname
of "Bernies' Raiders". I'm still into photography and accepted the
Ellenville Public Library's invitation to exhibit my work many years ago. So
here I am in Florida just as crazy as I was in high school but now a retired
cop without a leash on a 98 cubic inch V-Twin motorcycle still carrying guns
and cameras, Lol. Bill, thank you for having such a terrific web site and
feel free to publicize my email address as I would certainly enjoy hearing
from others who have walked those hallowed halls of N.F.A.
Graduated NFA in 1968 and moved to Texas and never went back. My friend,
Diane Lease (Price), class of 1968, told me about the site - really a
wonderful job that you have done. Since I haven't had a chance to make it to
any of the reunions, I've enjoyed looking at all the pictures. I live on a
ranch in Poolville, Texas with my husband (Tom), son (Sean -25) and
daughter(Katherine-18) and 3 horses (Savannah, Lily Grace, and Boo). I work
as an educational diagnostician in Ft. Worth ISD co-ordinating services for
special needs children and also evaluate children for autism spectrum
disorders.
Great job to all who worked on this site! living in jensen beach fl and
became a gator dad with my 2 daughters ..to fellow alum.. Feel free to
contact me.
Teddy Owens passed me the info on your website. I have just spent a
wonderful time down memory lane on your website. Your terrific for doing all
of this work. I graduated from N.F.A. in '64. Taught art for almost 40 years
in the Newburgh school district and retired in 2005. Two pieces of info: I
believe in the 45th reunion pictures #46a, the guy in the yellow/blue
stripped shirt is Richie Fenwick. Also James Sartin from the Class of 65,
passed away in 2007 at age 60. Jim was in Photography with me and played on
the football team, I believe he wore #72. If you know Patty Wright, she is
his cousin and will be able to give you more information about Jimmy. Thanks
again for all of your beautiful work !!!

Although this may seem like a "Last Will & Testament" its not. I assure the
readers of this message that I am alive and very well and plan to stay that
way for a long time. To all those who I have called friends, have may
offended, and yes, girlfriends during my time in Newburgh and at NFA I just
wanted to let all of you know how much of a positive force you have been in
my life, the pleasant memories I have acquired a long the way, and the
opportunities I have had to become a better person. Just something I thought
I should say on this site. 2008-05-22 A
follow up to what I'm doing now. I am a grandfather with an 8 yr old
granddaughter and a brand new grandson. Work occasionally, but mostly race
bicycles at events across the country. Have lived in Texas for quite sometime
and don't miss the winters of back east. The film and video production business
has been good to me but it was time to leave. I have no regrets about that. 2005-02-05 Sorry Bill for not signing in the first time. A recap on
me, here goes. After NFA went to live in NYC. Best experience I ever had for
growing up. Went to OCCC, then SUNY Plattsburgh, and finally Geneseo for an MA.
Was in the film and video production business for a long time. Did the Hollywood
thing making commercials for Anheiser-Busch. Married for over 30 years. Two
daughters, Amy and Julia with one granddaughter. Life's been good. Can't
complain. 2010-07-20 Update on what I'm doing. Still live near
Dallas, Texas. Married 37 years and counting. Two daughters 30 and 23. Two
grandchildren. Retired. I race bicycles at events all over Texas. Ride the
largest bicycle race in the nation. The Hotter n Hell 100. 14,000 riders, 100
miles, in 100 plus degrees. Believe or not I enjoy it.

to school and got a B.S. in Business Administration. I am now working on a
Master's of Divinity at Howard University's School of Divinity where I am
also employed as an Office Administrator, and the John Leland Center for
Theological Studies. It was so sad to read athe memorial page for the class

Class of '72 Jerry Pelella introduced me to this site. I am excited
about reconnecting with people from the past. Thanks BIll for putting this
all together. Since my NFA graduation, I attended James Madison University.
I have been teaching Family & Consumer Science since graduation...along with
numerous part time jobs that help subsidize a teacher's salary. I taught one
year at Mt. St. Mary's High School, one year in Newburgh and this is my 29th
year in Washingtonville, NY. I have coached different sports for 19 years,
took a break and now I am back coaching. I have been a class advisor
multiple times and have run the Student Government for about 18 years...
yada, yada, yada... I am still single, after all these years, but I have 11
terrific nieces and nephews that I am sure will want to take care of me in
my "old age"...when ever that happens to show up. I still live in the old
neighborhood I grew up in, just around the corner from the house I grew up
in. Hello to all and I can't wait to get back to reading to see how people
are doing from high school days. It makes you feel like you are getting
ready for your first reunion.
