Brian “Bri” Cohen passed away on April 13, 2024 at 1:17pm at the young age of 77 while in hospice at his home in Irvine, CA. He was surrounded by family members when he passed since his initial hospital intensive care admission in mid December 2023. He is survived by his two daughters, Kristie Cohen and Stacy Nelson and his grandson Skylar, his two brothers, Bruce and Gary, sister Gale, and wife Pilar Romero. Bri was a former resident of Montgomery, Newburgh, and New Windsor NY, attended Newburgh Free Academy, and was drafted into the Army in 1964 where he served in Vietnam, earning a Purple Heart and Bronz Star. He was employed with IBM until his retirement after 47 years of dedicated service. He lived his remaining years as a resident of CA, mainly in the city of Irvine and the surrounding area, and passed away from complications of pneumonia and kidney failure and what doctors labeled as post intensive care syndrome.
