Patrick Paglialunga,
75, unexpectedly passed away on June 25, 2013 in Brevard, NC. He was a son of
the late Venanzio and Rosaria Cardone Paglialunga. He was preceded in death by a
daughter; Vicki Michele Paglialunga who died in 1998, a brother; Vincent
Paglialunga and a sister; Norma Goldberg. He was a retired Police Captain from
Newburgh, NY where he served for 20 years. He was also a veteran of the US
Marine Corps. He attended Middlefork Baptist Church. His passions during his
retirement were gardening, hunting, fishing and photography. Mr. Paglialunga was
a wonderful caring husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. He will be
missed by all who knew him.He is survived by his loving wife Joan of 51 years,
one daughter; Dawn McDermott and husband Thomas of Smithtown, NY, one brother;
Richard Paglialunga of Oklahoma, one sister; Diana Paglialunga of NY, two
grandchildren; Emily and James McDermott and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held 3:00 PM, Monday, July 1, 2013 at Middlefork
Baptist Church with Rev. Chester Chappell officiating. The family will receive
friends from 2:00-3:00 PM at the church prior to the service. To leave a
