William Patrick Crawshaw (Billy), 55,
died unexpectedly Friday, July 15, 2022, at home in Ann Arbor, MI. He is
survived by his husband Rusty Andres and their dog, Pickles Marie on Pinewood
Street, in Ann Arbor, MI, both of whom he loved very much. They were best
friends, and shared many conversations on their deck about childhood memories,
read each others minds and finished each others sentences. Bill loved his
tie-dyed t-shirts, Steely Dan, and cooking gourmet meals for neighbors, being
the loving, giving spirit that he was. He was born in Newburgh, NY, November 5,
1966. Son of the late Thomas and MaryClaire Crawshaw, he was a graduate of
Newburgh Free Academy and The Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, NY. He
worked for several years as a chef at the Red Lyon Inn, in Vermont for the
Rockefellers, and in later years, as a professional paper hanger. He loved
cooking, the great outdoors and lively conversation. He is also survived by
siblings, Amy Junger of Shelburne, VT, Mary Mueller of Margaretville, NY, Nancy
Kish of Montgomery, NY, Janet Crawshaw of Newburgh, NY, Pam Glynn of Newburgh,
NY, Tom Crawshaw of Vancouver, WA, Cathy Krupp of Shelburne, VT and Paul
Crawshaw of Grosse Isle, MI, along with numerous nieces, nephews and grand
nieces and nephews. It was Bill's request that donations be made to Survivors of
Childhood Abuse. Internment will be in Ann Arbor, MI at a later date. Published
