Edward C. Smith Jr. Age 69, Bloomingburg New York
With a broken heart I would like to announce the passing of the love of my life, My Steady Eddie.
Born in Newburgh, NY on February 12, 1955 to Edward & Margaret Smith, Edward was the youngest of four children.
Edward is survived by his loving wife of 45 years Victoria, daughters Morghan and fiance Paul and Kimberly and husband Edwin. Sister Kitty Dunlevy and many cousins, nieces, nephews and many life long friends.
Edward was a dedicated and hardworking individual who always put the needs of others ahead of his own. He was a graduate of Newburgh Free Academy in 1974 and was the owner/operator of Insulpane Industries for over 20 years. He then went on to start his own pest control business of 20 years, AAAA Mid Hudson Pest Control. He loved stock car racing, shooting pool, hunting, fishing, family camping trips, football and playing a game of cards on a Friday/Saturday night. He also loved to take road trips with his wife, stopping off at any yard sale he passed to pick up antiques. Most of all he was a food carnosaur, home cooking his own meals and finding the best restaurants to dine at.
He was predeceased by his Mother and Father Margaret and Edward Smith; Mother and Father In-law Nancy & Harold Burlingame. Brother, Joe Smith; Sister, Donna Cavalari; and Brother In-law John Burlingame. As well as two of the most important people in his life, Aunt Mary and Uncle Lenny Weyant.
Cremation will take place privately and a celebration of life will be held at a later date for his family and friends to gather and celebrate Edwards life and memories.
As Edward was an avid dog lover, memorial contributions can be made to the SPCA of New Windsor. 940 Little Britain Rd. New Windsor, NY 12553.
