Janelle Marie Cleary
... Janelle passed away peacefully at The Kanas Center in Quioque, New York. She had many careers in her life, but was most proud of her work with Restorative Justice. Janelle commuted to Albany for years and was proud to be recognized with many accolades. She was a lover of her grandchildren, the Hudson River, the moon, photography, flowers, making jewelry, crafting, cooking, shopping, women's rights, Jeopardy and objects that were cool and collectible to her.
She was the loving daughter of Bernice Foster and sister to adored big brother Bill Cleary ("Billy the Kid"). She was loved by many friends whom she considered family. All of whom, she had cherished memories. She left behind her daughter Heather Carriero, her son-in-law Rocco, granddaughter Ella, grandson Luca, niece Ninon (Steven O'Neill), half-brother Kevin (Aubree) Cleary and nieces and nephew Connor, Rosemary and Kaitlyn; all of whom she cherished.
There will be a mass in her honor on Saturday, November 30th at The Basilica Parish of the Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary 168 Hill Street Southampton at 10am. Another honor of spreading her ashes will be celebrated in the Hudson Valley Summer 2025; to be announced at a later date.
Janelle was a woman who loved to give, in lieu of flowers, if you'd like to contribute to a charity in her name to celebrate her life, please consider the following: www.eeh.org or www.newburgharmory.org
