James Hollenbeck - Class of 1973

James Salvatore Hollenbeck, 69, of Newburgh passed away on January 20.
James, also lovingly called "Jungle Jim", "Jim Bob", and "Jimmy" was born in
Newburgh on February 28, 1955 to Mary and James Robert Hollenbeck. He retired
from his roofing company, Hollenbeck & Dailey Roofing, and enjoyed high school
football, bike riding, bonsai trees, and especially watching his grandchildren
ride dirt bikes.
James is survived by his children, Lauren B. Hollenbeck,
James C. Hollenbeck and his wife Jennifer, and Tiffany Ray; his grandchildren:
Katie Hollenbeck, James E. Hollenbeck, and Logan J. Hollenbeck; Chris Hollenbeck
and his wife Diane; Mary Kay Messenger and her husband David; nieces, Emma and
Grace Messenger; nephews, Connor and Matthew Hollenbeck; and his little buddy,
Maxwell. He is predeceased by his uncles: Armand Acilli, Salvatore, Dominick,
and Louis Aulogia.
Visitation will be held at Brooks Funeral Home on
Sunday, January 26 from 1 - 4 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated
at St. Francis Church on Monday, January 27 at 10 AM followed by entombment at
Cedar Hill Mausoleum at Cedar Hill Mausoleum. - February 28, 1955~ January 20,
