Joseph Patrick DiCesare, Jr. was entered into rest on February 3, 2025. Born February 28, 1954, Joseph was a graduate of Newburgh Free Academy in 1971. He was a manager of Primavera Hardware, Inc. for 17 years before becoming an agent and then sales manager of Prudential Insurance in Newburgh in 1987. In 2000 he opened his own insurance office, Joe DiCesare Insurance Agency, Inc. in Newburgh where he continued that practice until his death. He enjoyed the selling of the insurance products, and his customers, some that have been with him from almost the beginning and were considered family.

From books that he helped the authors with information, and his selling of memorabilia on eBay, Joseph was known throughout the world as the ultimate Jerry Lewis fan. Lewis was Joseph's idol, and he followed his career for over 50 years, seeing him in person over 30 times, visiting his office in Las Vegas, and meeting him and members of his family personally over the years. The Times-Herald Record also published a full-page article of his collection of Jerry Lewis from over the years in 1986.

Joseph leaves behind his ex-wife and companion, Joanne, of Maybrook; sister, Marlene DiCesare-Crudele of New Paltz; and his cousins. He was predeceased by his mother, Rose Marro in 2009, and his father, Joseph P. DiCesare, Sr. in 2020.

Visitation will be held at Brooks Funeral Home on Sunday, February 9 from 1 - 4 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Sacred Heart Church on Monday, February 10 at 11 AM followed by burial at Calvary Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Joseph's name to the American Heart Association www.heart.org  - February 28, 1954 ~ February 3, 2025
