William Hoyer - Class of 1953

    William Hoyer passed away peacefully in his home in New Windsor, NY surrounded by family of March 10, 2025.

William was born in Congers, NY to Denton and Irene Hoyer. He was predeceased by his brother James Hoyer. William married his high school sweetheart Caroll Hoyer on December 11, 1954, celebrating 70 years together. He is a graduate of Newburgh Free Academy and was a past member of the New Windsor Fire Department. He was a retired member of Plumbers and Steamfitters Local 373. He loved the open road and enjoyed the journey more than the destination. He was an avid auto racing enthusiast, who never met a track or race he didn't like.

We all have someone in our life that we admire and truly respect with all our hearts. That was our dad and grandfather. He was a pillar of strength and guidance. A devoted father always putting his family first. His legacy of love and laughter will live on.

He was predeceased by his son William Hoyer Jr., parents and brother. He is survived by his wife Caroll Hoyer, his children: Bonnie Ferraiolo (and husband John Ferraiolo, Linda Hoyer (Daughter-in-law), Joy Conklin (and husband Charles Conklin), and Robbie Smith. Seven grandchildren: Jessica Ferraiolo, Kristen Defreece, Cherie Conklin, Nyx Conklin, Leonard Dolson, Michael Smith, and Robert Smith. - May 15, 1935 ~ March 10, 2025
