Dominic Moresco - Class of 1980
Submitted by Fran Olson Gustafson 1965 <fgustafson917@gmail.com> on 17/Mar/2025 97.124.232.83

Dominic Moresco, 62, of Virginia Beach, VA, passed away peacefully and surrounded by his family on March 15, 2025. A devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend, Dominic's love for life left an everlasting impression on those who had the absolute pleasure of knowing him.
Dominic was born on May 21, 1962 in Newburgh, NY, to Vincent and Rose Moresco. He was a 1980 graduate of Newburgh Free Academy and then went on to graduate from Hudson Valley Community College.
An avid sports fan (Go USC! Fight on!), Dominic played baseball and football in high school and college and later played competitive softball. His love for the game only continued to grow over the years; he transitioned from player to coach to biggest cheerleader and would choose a weekend at the softball fields over most everything else. Dominic was a hard-working member of Plumbers and Pipefitters Local 373 for 38 years and was incredibly proud to have been a part of that community. He cherished his Union brothers and sisters and those life-long friendships.
To those in his life, Dominic was a genuine, supportive, and loyal safe-space; there was never a favor too big, a task too difficult, or a problem too unsolvable. Dominic was always there.
Above all else, Dominic's family was his everything. "This is all I need in my life, my wife, my girls, and my grandkids." There are no words to describe the impact that his absence will have on them.
Dominic is survived by his loving wife, Andrea; his daughter, Meghan Henson; his daughter, Lily Moresco, and son-in-law, Ephraim Minsky; his grandchildren, Tyler, Austin, and Brynn Henson; and beloved dog, Henry. He is also survived by his best friend, Dave Doulin; sister, Angela Hoffman (Steve); sister-in-law, Patty Moresco; brother, Vince Moresco (Sue); sisters-in-law, Monica Gormley (Rob), Gina Butwell (Dave), Valerie Glynn, Michelle Truncali (Bill); brothers-in-law, Joe Glynn (Nidia), Rory Glynn (Pam), and Chris Glynn (Jennifer); and many dearly loved nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Vincent and Rose Moresco; his brother, Phil "Toppy" Moresco; and his nephew, Matthew Hoffman.
