David G. Williams, 57, of Pine Bush, NY, passed away peacefully after a courageous battle with cancer on April 30, 2025, at his home, surrounded by loved ones. He was born on April 17, 1968, Cornwall, NY.

David was a devoted father and husband. He lived a life filled with kindness, generosity, and a deep commitment to his family. Dave's dream was for his two sons to succeed in life and was extremely proud of them. He would stop at nothing to ensure they had a solid path ahead of them. David and his wife were best friends and never spent a moment apart. David's warm heart and sense of humor touched everyone who knew him, and he was also known to many as "Randy".

A graduate of Newburgh Free Academy, Dave was employed with the Orange County Sheriff's Office. Throughout his life, his passion was weightlifting following the Westside Barbell motto, "Weak things break". He was a former semi-pro football player for the Newburgh Raiders and loved seeing that carry on in his sons. David was a nature lover finding solitude in his mountain hikes with family and his rescue dog Shelby or working on one of Lori's "new" ideas. His favorite moments were gathering family and those friends that became family around his fire pit for some laughs.

David is survived by his beloved wife and best friend Lori Williams of 28 years, and his sons Tyler (fiance Erin) of Roselle Park, NJ and Riley (girlfriend Jenna) of Pine Bush, NY. He is also survived by his mother, Patricia Williams and brother Steven and Paula Williams of CA, as well as nieces, a nephew, and friends who will miss him dearly. Dave truly loved his pets Shelby and Bosco the cat.

David was predeceased by his father, Gerald Williams.

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, May 7, 2025 at 4pm - 7 pm at Brooks Funeral Home in Newburgh, NY. A prayer service will be held at 7pm. Family and friends are invited to attend and celebrate David's life. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Montefiore St. Luke's Cornwall Littman Cancer Center in David's memory. We would like to thank the many individuals at Montefiore St. Luke's Cornwall who took amazing care of Dave and his family as well as oncologist Dr. Rappaport. Special thanks to all of you that were part of the tremendous support system for Dave during his battle with cancer.

David will be deeply missed by all who knew him. His legacy of love, compassion, and humor will live on in the hearts of his family and friends. "Weak things break. One more rep!"

A visitation will be held on Wednesday May 7th from 4:00-7:00pm with a funeral service beginning at 7:00pm at the brooks funeral home located at 481 Gidney Avenue, Newburgh, NY 12550. - April 17, 1968 ~ April 30, 2025
