    Sharon A. Scott Lopez, 69, of Monroe, NY, passed away on Sunday, January 8, 2023.

Sharon was born on November 16, 1953. She was the daughter of William (Bill) and Dorothy Scott of New Windsor, NY.

She is survived by her loving husband, Thomas Lopez of Monroe, NY, daughters Susan Masud (Maj) of Newburgh, NY, Tammy Talentino of Monroe, NY, son-in-law Sean Murphy of Newburgh, NY and grandsons Brendan Murphy, Evan Murphy, Liam Talentino and Andrew Talentino.

Sharon is also survived by her siblings Ann Bowman and William Scott as well as many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her daughter Dorothy Murphy, her father William Scott, her sister-in-law Dolores Smith, her father-in-law Alfonso Lopez and mother-in-law Mary Lopez.

Sharon was a lifelong resident of the area. She graduated from NFA. After high school, she worked as an assembly worker for Star Expansion in Mountainville, NY where she retired and became a homemaker. She loved her family and enjoyed spending time with them. She loved cooking, attending family BBQ's, birthday parties and holiday gatherings. She loved playing bingo on weekends with her mother-in-law and sister-in-laws, decorating for the holidays, vacationing at Wildwood, NJ with her husband, daughters and grandsons, enjoyed shopping and dining out. She had a huge heart for animals. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, sister-in-law, aunt and friend. She will be greatly missed and always loved by her family and friends.

Her family is extremely thankful for the outpouring of prayers, calls of comfort, messages and condolences.

There will be no visitation. A Celebration of Life will take place at a later date and will be private.
