Dolores Gasking Obituary It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Dolores Gasking, 92, of New Windsor, NY. Born March 1, 1933, to Walter and Helen (Kennedy) Porter in Newburgh, Dolores graduated from Newburgh Free Academy. Living in the Newburgh area her whole life, she was mostly a homebody raising five wonderful children. She also had several grandchildren and even a great grandchild. She retired from Orange County as a clerk helping those with Medicaid. Dolores loved her roller skating and going on trips with her friends in Plattekill. She loved rooting for the Notre Dame Fighting Irish but absolutely never missed watching her beloved Yankees! Although described as feisty at times, Dolores was loved by all those who knew her and will be sorely missed. She leaves behind her daughters Mary Potvin, Joanne VanNorstrand and her husband, Jonathan; and her sons Dave Gasking and Nelson Schoen. She is also survived by her grandchildren Adam Stabell and partner Katie, Brittany Stabell, Jacob VanNorstrand, Shawn VanNorstrand and Patrick VanNorstrand. Dolores was lucky enough to spend a couple of wonderful years with her only great grandson Grant as well. Dolores was predeceased by her son Russell Gasking 3rd and her daughter Linda Gasking.
