    Donald G. Kranz, 91, of Columbus, passed away on May 22, 2025. He was born on November 11, 1933, to the late Elmer and Florence (Tolson) Kranz. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn Ann Strohm; and his brother, Ronald Kranz.

Donald graduated from High School from the Newburgh Free Academy in Newburgh NY and would go on to attend college at the Pratt Institute of Art in Brooklyn NY. He would later decide to leave college and join the United States Army where he served from 1958-1962 and would later go on to the Army Reserves.

In his free time, he enjoyed painting, sketching, gardening, cooking, and was a proud Mason.

Donald will be greatly missed by his children, Susan (Dan) Dunbar and Clark (Sarah) Kranz; grandchildren, Lucinda Dunbar and Jennie (Aaron) Kelly; numerous pets; and numerous extended family and close family friends.

Per Donalds wishes there will be no services.
