Carol Louise Konkol, beloved daughter, wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and friend, passed peacefully at her home in New Windsor, NY on June 29, 2025, at the age of 62. Her loyal pug, Brutus, was by her side.

Born Carol Louise Angelo on September 11, 1962, in the Bronx, NY, to Frank and Carol Angelo, Carol was the oldest of four sisters—Gina, Justine, and Julie. Growing up in Newburgh, NY, she fondly remembered the carefree days spent running with her sisters and friends until the call for dinner brought her back home. Known as "Little Carol" to her family and "LaLa" to her nieces and grandchildren, she cherished the bonds of family and loved to stay connected with old friends, including those from her time at Newburgh Free Academy.

On November 22, 1990, Carol married Daniel Konkol of Newburgh, and together they raised two children, Christopher and Alexandria. Carol also became a loving stepmother to Kathleen and Michelle, adding even more joy to her family. Later in life, Carol's heart grew even fuller with the arrival of her beloved grandchildren, Rosemary and Ferdinand, who brought her immeasurable joy and love.

A woman of many passions, Carol was an avid reader, a gardener, and a cook. She was famous for her Christmas cookie platters, with each family member and friend having their own special favorite. Her annual tradition of "Pierogi Day" brought everyone together for good food, laughter, and fond memories. Carol's love of life extended to the outdoors, especially near water—whether by the ocean, a lake, or the Hudson River at Cornwall Yacht Club, where she and Daniel enjoyed many summer evenings with friends, celebrating life at "The Point."

Carol is survived by her loving husband, Daniel; her children, Christopher and his wife, Meghan and Alexandria and her husband, James; her stepdaughters, Kathleen, and her husband Michael and Michelle and her parents, Frank and Carol Angelo; her sisters, Gina Angelo, Justine Schuyler, and Julie Angelo-Hayen; and her grandchildren, Rosemary and Ferdinand.

Carol's life was a testament to the beauty of family, friendship, and the simple joys of life. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing her.

A service to celebrate Carol's life will be held on Thursday, July 3, 2025, from 4-7 p.m. at Brooks Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Carol's honor to the American Heart Association or Reading is Fundamental.- September 11, 1962 ~ June 29, 2025
