Lillian D. Harris (nee Vignogna), 89, of New Windsor, NY passed away peacefully on July 6, 2025, in Newburgh, New York, the city where she was born and spent her entire life.

Born on August 3, 1935, in Newburgh to John Vignogna and Mary DeCerbo Vignogna, Lillian was a proud graduate of Newburgh Free Academy, class of 1952. Her deep roots in the community were matched by her lifelong devotion to Sacred Heart Church in Newburgh, where she remained a faithful member throughout her life.

Lillian began her bookkeeping career at W. L. Smith in Newburgh and then dedicated many years to working at New Windsor Refrigeration and Air Conditioning.

Lillian shared a loving marriage of 64 years with her late husband, Joseph M. Harris. Together they built a warm and welcoming home filled with love and laughter. One of their greatest joys was spending time at the Jersey Shore alongside cherished family and friends—especially with her beloved Aunt Dee and Uncle Oren, and her best friend Jan Mascitelli. These moments created lasting memories that Lillian held close to her heart.

Family was at the center of Lillian's world. She is survived by her daughter Jody Terralavoro and her husband Daniel; her son Jeffrey Harris and his wife Jodie; and her treasured grandsons Nicholas Terralavoro and his wife Amanda, and Michael Terralavoro and his wife Jillian. Lillian was a devoted grandmother who found immense joy in spending time with Nick and Mike, celebrating their milestones and sharing in their lives.

She maintained a special bond with her Aunt Dee and Uncle Oren, whose presence brought comfort and joy throughout the years. Her friendship with Jan Mascitelli was another enduring relationship that enriched her life deeply.

Lillian's warmth, loyalty, and quiet strength touched all who knew her. Her legacy lives on through the family she loved so dearly and the memories shared by those fortunate enough to have known her.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday July 9th from 4:00pm-7:00pm at Brooks Funeral Home.

A Mass of the Christian burial will be held at Sacred Heart Church at 11:00am on Thursday July 10th at 11:00am.

A burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery.

May Lillian's memory bring peace to those who loved her. - August 3, 1935 ~ July 6, 2025
