Sandy Lucas - Class of 1984

Sandra Rae Lucas passed away on August 6, 2025 at her home in Montgomery. She was 59 years old. Sandra was born on September 27, 1965 in Newburgh, NY. She is the daughter of Florence and Edward.

Sandra worked at Hudson Valley DDSO for many years and previously worked in the same environment at a different place of employment . She was also a member of the elk club which she enjoyed attending every month. She is survived by her son Cloyd Jr, brother Eddie Lucas, and partner Cloyd Sr.

Sandra was not only a loving mother who despite working two jobs would give all her attention to her son who she loved deeply, But also was a caring friend who would always check up on her coworkers, and would make sure her patients were fed well and treated correctly. She also always expressed how much she cared and worried for her son to her friends. Sandra's hobbies were playing in the dirt, she would be outside messing in her flower bed or riding around on the mower making sure her grass was pristine. She also loved farm life and fishing. Her second family was at YouYou in Middletown along with her coworkers ...There will be no service held.

Today we lost not only a wonderful person, but the best mother you could ask for. Over the last two years, she has been battling lung cancer and everything that came with it, but as of today, she is no longer with us. She did everything in her power for me, making sure I was good mentally and physically, and she was so strong for herself every day. Thank you to all the people who have looked out for her over the years; I know how much she appreciated her friends.

Once again, thank you, Mother, for all you have done for me, and I know you're in a better place, no longer in pain. I will be strong like I have been for you. I love you.

(As of right now, there will be no services for her, but I will keep everyone updated.)
