Richard "Mickey"¯ Weed Jr, a loving husband, father, and grandfather left us suddenly on November 11, 2021 at the age of 56. He was born to Richard and Josephine Weed on August 18, 1965 in Newburgh, New York. Mickey was truly an amazing person who loved his family more than anything. He was the type of person everyone aspires to be. He had a huge heart and spread joy to all people around him. He had a smile that would light up any room and a personality that drew people in. He was one of the most caring people in the world. If you needed anything he was always right there for you. He could tell if someone was having a bad day and immediately try to remedy any situation. He was known for bringing home surprise flowers, and Sunday mornings always had chocolate chip pancakes. Due to injury at a young age Mickey spent most of his life as a stay-at-home dad. He volunteered at his children school and was an active member of the Boy Scouts of America. His children will all tell you he was absolutely the best father anyone could ever dream of having. He routinely watched Sunday morning cartoons and made the best homemade popcorn for movie nights. He loved taking his children to Disney and truly added to the magic of any event. His pastimes included a passion for all things Star Wars, a talent for Poker, and a mean game of pool. He had a huge heart and will be greatly missed by his family. Mickey is survived by his adoring wife Yvonne, their three children daughter Heather and Amit Pathak, daughter Danielle and Rahman Bell, and son Timothy, four grandchildren Sofia, Eilene, Penelope, and Aiden, his father, and his brother Anthony. He is preceded in death by his mother. A memorial service is scheduled for November 18, 2021 at New Hope Christian Church in Lawrenceville, GA. In lieu of flowers please donate to the Lung Transplant Foundation.
