  Jeanie F. Frew Slocum age 80, of Niceville Florida passed away at her home on February 28th, 2015. Jeanie was born on February 12, 1935 in Newburgh, NY. Jeanie attended Newburgh Free Academy and graduated in 1953.
Jean was preceded in death by her parents Robert Bellamy and Marion Frew Cocks.
Jeanie has lived in many places including Albany NY, Shelton CT, Mobile AL and Niceville FL. She has enjoyed living in BlueWater Bay for the last 23 years and cherished the many close friendships that she developed, particular through playing golf.
Jeanie leaves behind her husband of 52 years, Robert S. Slocum of Niceville FL., daughter, Janet Keith of Mobile, AL; Son, Scott (Lynn) Slocum Opelika, AL and grandchildren Zachary (Wendy) Keith and Adam Keith and (Christie Pass) of Mobile, Al and Shelby and Rachel Slocum of Opelika, AL. She also leaves behind a brother Dr. Edmund (Joanne) Cocks and nephews Robert and Daniel Cocks of Fallston, MD.
Private arrangements are being handled by McLaughlin Twin Cities Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you please make contributions to your favorite charity.
