James "Jim" T. Siddle III - Class of 1966

      James "Jim" T. Siddle, III, 71, of Mechanicsburg, passed away August 11, 2020 in Select Specialty Hospital, Harrisburg.

He was born September 7, 1948 in Newburgh, NY, son of the late James and Mary (Gerbes) Siddle Jr.

He was a graduate of Newburgh Free Academy High School, and attended San Fernando Valley College in CA.

Jim served in the United States Navy until 1973. After 40 years of service Jim retired from IBM, He then continued his managerial career with Washington Group Logistics. At the conclusion of his time with Washington Group Jim spent several years working as the service manager for a local Harley Davidson dealership. He was a member of the B.P.O. Elks #2257, where her served as Inner Guard and was past chairman of their veterans committee. He also previously served as chairman of the United Way in Carlisle PA.

He enjoyed spending time with his family, working on his shrewd negotiation skills at neighborhood garage & estate sales, attending (and often winning) local meat raffles, sitting on his deck listening to his favorite music while enjoying his favorite beverages and admiring his immaculately manicured lawn. He was an avid collector and connoisseur of unique and colorful Hawaiian shirts.

Survived by his wife of 47 years Leeanor, children Allison (Jeremy) Boose, James T. (Elizabeth) Siddle IV, and Lauren (Zachary) Ball.

He had a special bond with his 3 grandchildren Veronica, Ivan, & Samson. He was known to them as Pa or Big Jim.

Sister Donna (Siddle) Borcherdt of Kingston NY, and several cousins, nieces, nephews, and countless €œfamily€ members who all loved Big Jim.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 AM, Tuesday, August 18, 2020 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, Enola, with viewing from 10:00 until time of Mass. A private military service will be held for immediate family at Fort Indiantown Gap Memorial Cemetery at a later date. - September 7, 1948 €“ August 11, 2020

Those attending are required to wear mask and respect social distance as required.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the charity of your choosing in Big Jim€™s name.
