Angela was the beloved wife of John C. Pilla, with whom she shared a deep and enduring marriage and partnership of 57 years. Together they built a life centered around family, love, and shared values. She was a devoted mother to her daughters Dr. Carla A. Pilla, Corinne M. Robinson and her husband Douglas Robinson; Kimberly L. Pilla and her husband Robert Atwell Jr. Angela's heart also held space for the memory of her son, John Damien Pilla, whose loss she carried with grace.

Her grandchildren, Robert J. Atwell, Jackson Atwell, Jessica Pilla, Jamie Pilla, and Joshua Daniels, were the light of her life. Angela cherished every moment spent with them. Angela also held a special place in her heart for her nephew Ernest Melita and his wife Teri and her childhood best friend, Donna Wilner. Her home was always filled with warmth, the aroma of Sicilian dishes lovingly prepared from scratch, laughter echoing through rooms adorned with her artwork and nurtured plants.

Angela's love extended beyond immediate family. She is also remembered by her brother Salvatore Silvestro and his wife Deborah Silvestro; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and all those fortunate enough to know her. She held close in memory her parents Gaetana and Giuseppe Silvestro; her sister Lucia Melita Laird; and her brother Frank Silvestro.

A woman of many talents and quiet passions, Angela found joy in cooking meals that brought people together, each dish a tribute to the flavors of Sicily that lived in her heart. She tended gardens that bloomed under her care just as those around her flourished in the warmth of her presence. Angela also spoke multi languages and held great pride in her Sicilian heritage. Whether reading quietly, caring for her pets or listening to her favorite Italian Arias, Angela expressed herself through acts of creation and care.

Those who knew Angela speak of a soul both kind and selfless, humble in every way she lived and generous in every way she loved. Her strength was not loud but steadfast; it revealed itself in the way she supported others without hesitation or expectation. She gave endlessly of herself without ever asking for anything in return.

Angela's legacy is one of love, in meals shared at family tables, in gardens blooming year after year, in stories passed down through generations, and most profoundly in the hearts of those who were touched by her presence.

May Angela's memory bring comfort to all who knew and loved her. A Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 2, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Brooks Funeral Home at 481 Gidney Avenue. Graveside services will follow at 1:30 at Cedar Hill Mausoleum. - December 26, 1947 ~ November 26, 2025
