Shalanda Annissa Smith, 57 of Troy, NY passed away peacefully on December 11, 2025, after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer at Samaritan Hospital, in Troy surrounded by her family, firstborn son Randy and her one and only daughter Di'Shenaya. Shalanda was best known to most as Shonda.

Shalanda was born on September 24, 1968, in Newburgh, NY to the late Pamela Smith Borden and Thomas "Kountry" Little, Jr.
Shalanda is the mother of four children.
She graduated in 1986 from Newburgh Free Academy. She has been a long-time residence of Troy, NY for over 15 years. Shalanda's faith was built at an early age when you accepted Christ as her personal savior as a member of All Nation's Church.

Shonda was preceded in death by her parents, Pamela and Kountry, and her sister Tanya "Boo" Smith. She is survived by her two brothers, Jerrick Lamb and Antonio Holmes; her four children, Randy Re'Quan, Lennon Donte', Di'Shenaya and DeShawn; her 12 grandchildren; her aunt Ethel Smith; her nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of family & friends.

A Celebration of Shalanda's Life will be held at The Party Palace, 136 Lake Street, Newburgh, NY 12550 on Sunday, December 28, 2025, at 1:00PM.
