Priscilla Ann Mullarkey Conklin
of New Windsor, NY passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, December 28, 2025. The daughter of Edith Turner Mullarkey and Edward Joseph Mullarkey, she was born January 29, 1937, in Newburgh, NY. Upon graduating Newburgh Free Academy, she went on to work at Newburgh Savings Bank until meeting her husband, Ira D Conklin Jr. Following their marriage, she joined him in the family business at Ira D. Conklin and Sons, where she worked for many years and was an essential part of both the business and family it supported.
Pam lived life fully and always had an active social life. She was a member of the Pat Tarsio Ladies Bowling League and a longtime member of the Powelton Club where she was an avid golfer. She enjoyed traveling with her husband, Ira, and their close friends on trips and cruises all over the world. Upon Pam and Ira's retirement, they spent several months each year at their Florida home, where they enjoyed the warm weather and daily rounds of golf.
Pam was a devoted, lifetime parishioner of St. Patrick's Church in Newburgh, where her faith remained a constant throughout her life. In Pam's later years, she found her greatest joy in devoting her time to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She will be forever missed.
She is survived by her son Ira Conklin III and fiancee Mary Beth Maio of New Windsor, NY; grandson Ira Conklin IV and his wife Taylor of Newburgh, NY, who are expecting their first child; her granddaughter Caitlin Hogan and her husband Brendan Hogan of Cornwall on Hudson, NY; great-granddaughters Aislinn and Nora Hogan of Cornwall on Hudson, NY; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She is predeceased by her son Edward Joseph "EJ" Conklin; her husband Ira D. Conklin Jr.; sister Marlene Jennings; and her parents.
The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to Pam's devoted home health aides, especially Erin Goodman, for their compassion, dedication, and exceptional care, which allowed Pam to remain comfortably at home surrounded by love for several years.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday December 30, 2025, from 4-8 PM at Brooks Funeral Home, 481 Gidney Ave, Newburgh, NY. A Catholic mass will be held at St. Patrick's Church Wednesday December 31, 2025, at 10:00 AM, Grand St, Newburgh, NY, with entombment following in Cedar Hill Mausoleum, 5468 Route 9W, Newburgh, NY.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Pam's name.
