Joyce Wallace McNair - Class of 1962

    Joyce E. McNair passed away peacefully on January 6, 2026, surrounded by her extended family. She's survived by her husband, William McNair, who selflessly cared for Joyce throughout her illness; her devoted son, Shawn McNair, and his wife, Sheri, whom Joyce loved as her own daughter; her two grandchildren, Shawn William and Sadie Elizabeth; and her three sisters. She was predeceased by her parents William "Sonny" Wallace and Estelle M. Catania.

Her grandchildren were Joyce's shining lights; a love that was so deep and beautiful. Joyce was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. We adored her, will miss her every day, and will carry her in our hearts forever. She was simply a wonderful, loving woman.

The McNair family would like to thank the following people for their "above and beyond" daily support and love throughout this tremendously difficult time: her sister, Kathleen Kooperman; her niece, Julie Jenei; and her cherished friend, Margaret Allers.

Soar, our Joyce, into God's embrace.

A visitation will be held on Sunday, January 11th from 2:00~5:00pm with a funeral service beginning at 4:30pm at Brooks Funeral Home located at 481 Gidney Avenue, Newburgh, NY. - October 16, 1944 ~ January 6, 2026

In lieu of flowers, we ask that contributions be made to the Hospice of Orange & Sullivan Counties, Inc., the Kaplan Family Hospice Residence, or the St. Luke's Cornwall Health System Foundation.
