Joseph "Joe" Sheals Jr passed away leaving behind a legacy of love, creativity, and unforgettable light. Joe was the kind of person who lit up a room the moment he stepped into it-and his energy, warmth, and humor stayed with you long after he left.
Joe is survived by his beloved husband, Anthony Oxley; his father-in-law, Jon Oxley; his mother, Nancy Sheals, and late father Joseph Sheals, Sr., of Newburgh, NY; his sister, Denise (John) Blair, of Newburgh, NY; his nephew, Ryan (Stephanie) Blair, of Newburgh, NY; his great-nephew and great-niece, Xander and Isabella Blair, of Newburgh, NY; and his niece, Brittany (Michael) Fallen, of New Windsor, NY. He is also survived by countless other family members and friends whose lives were forever changed by knowing him.
Joe was deeply known for his love of writing and performing music. He was a proud member of the beloved band Worlds Within, where his passion and creativity shone brightly. Music was not just something Joe did-it was who he was.
An avid traveler, Joe cherished exploring the world alongside his husband Anthony. Together, they documented their adventures on Joe's YouTube channel, MRSHEALS2U, sharing joy, laughter, and love with a wide audience.
Above all else, Joe will be remembered for his vibrant personality, his generous spirit, and the way he made everyone feel seen and welcome. His light, love, and music will continue to echo in the hearts of all who knew him.
Cremation has taken place and there are no services scheduled at this time. A celebration of Joe's life will take place on a future date in his home state of New York. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider The Make A Wish Foundation.
