Christopher Fitch - Class of 1976

    Christopher "Chris" Fitch, of New Windsor, NY, passed away surrounded by love.

Chris was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, brother in law, and friend. Above all else, he cherished his family, who were the center of his life. He had a deep love for classic cars, enjoyed the easygoing spirit of Key West, and found his greatest joy in time spent with those he loved most.

Chris was also a hardworking and passionate businessman. He was the former owner of Upstate Landscaping and Devitts Nursery, where he took great pride in his work and creativity. Through Devitts Nursery, he helped bring back the beloved local tradition, Eggbert: Christmas on the Farm, a project that reflected his commitment to community and creating joy for others.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Dolores Fitch.

Chris is survived by his beloved wife and high school sweetheart, Pamela Fitch; his sons, Aaron Fitch and his wife Jamie, and Sean Fitch; his daughter, Alexis Fitch and her husband John Gregory; and his treasured grandchildren, Riley, Carter, and Kennedi Fitch, who brought him endless pride and happiness. He is also survived by his brother and sister, Paul and his wife Rita, and Bernadette Fitch and her husband John Pizza; his nieces, Jennifer Hayes, Nicole and Amy Komondorea; his nephews, Michael and Nicholas Fitch; and many extended family members who will miss him dearly.

Chris will be remembered for his unwavering love of family, his passions, his work ethic, and the many meaningful moments he shared with those closest to him. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

A visitation will be held on Friday, February 13th from 4:00pm-7:00pm at Brooks Funeral Home located at 481 Gidney Avenue, Newburgh, NY 12550.

A Mass of the Christian burial will be held at St. Francis of Assisi Church at 11:00am on Saturday, February 14th located at 145 Benkard Ave, Newburgh, NY 12550.
