Gerald (Jerry) Parrish, or "Persch" to his NFA high school friends, passed away peacefully on April 25. 2026 at the age of 78. He was most known for his humor, generosity, and his love for those around him. He loved Christian worship music, all NY sports teams, and talking to anyone and everyone that he ever met.

A Christmas baby, he was born in 1947 in Honesdale, PA. He will be reunited with his parents Ralph Parrish and Margaret Ryan Parrish of Newburgh, NY. He leaves behind his treasured children, daughter Jillian Parrish of Newburgh, son Joel Parrish and his wife Marlene Freitas of Newtown, Ct and his loved grandchildren Jake and Alexander, along with his three brothers Mark and his wife Gloria, Keith and his wife Terri, and Kevin.

We would like to thank the loving hands that touched him at Sapphire Nursing home and the compassionate care provided at Kaplan Family Hospice Residence.

A visitation will be held on Friday May 1, 2026 between the hours of 4-5:30PM at Knight-Auchmoody Funeral Home of Port Jervis, NY. A service of remembrance will take place 5:30PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Vietnam Veterans of America at VVA.org.
