Barbara Ann Czinkota of Bonita Beach, Florida, passed away peacefully on April 30, 2026, at her daughter's home in Newburgh, NY, at the age of 87. She was born on November 20, 1938 in the city of Newburgh, NY. She was the daughter of Thomas and Grace Dickson. She was preceded in death by her parents, as well as her brothers: Thomas Dickson, Jr.( Myra), Robert Dickson (Ginny), Ronald Dickson (Cris), and sisters, Joan Scott (Robert), and Jean Ambrosetti (Frank).

Barbara worked for the Newburgh Enlarged City School District as the School Lunch Manager for both Fostertown School and North Junior High School.

Barbara was a loving mother and grandmother and will be deeply missed by her son George Czinkota Jr. and his wife Jane of Gardiner, NY, and daughter Deborah Levy and her husband Mark of Newburgh, NY. She also leaves behind 6 grandchildren: Alison Czinkota Paragas, Alexander Czinkota, Jennifer Levy, Brianna Miller, Gabrielle Levy, Mitchell Levy and her 2 great-grandchildren Jeffery Miller IV and Miles Paragas.

Barbara was married to the love of her life, George Czinkota Sr. for 63 years. They enjoyed going out to dinner and long walks on the beach at their home in Bonita Springs Florida. Barbara was a fantastic cook, enjoyed get-togethers, picnics, late nights of pinochle with friends and playing games with the family. The pride she had in her children was then extended and multiplied as her grandchildren came along. Her greatest wishes came true when she became a great-grandmother to two great-grandsons, and was ecstatic to learn that she had a great granddaughter on the way.

Friends may visit from 9:00-10:00 am at DiDonato funeral home in Marlboro, NY on Thursday, May 7, 2026.

Funeral Services will follow at 10:30 am at St. Mary's Church in Marlboro, NY.

Entombment will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery in Newburgh, NY.
