Helen A. Budington, born on November 23, 1931, in Newburgh, NY, passed away peacefully on May 3, 2026, in Goshen, NY. She was the daughter of Frank and Sophie Zadroga.

Helen graduated from Newburgh Free Academy and continued her education at Orange County Community College. She dedicated her career to the City of Newburgh School District, where she worked as a Senior Account Clerk. Helen was also an active member of St. Francis Church and a Tri-Co. Associate of educational secretaries.

Helen was predeceased by her beloved husband, Robert H. Budington, who passed away in 1990, and her brother, Frank V. Zadroga. She is survived by her sister Marian DeCaterina; first cousin and dear friend John S. Miller; nieces and nephews Michael F. DeCaterina and Michele Schneider; grandniece Gwendolyn (Anthony) Basselini; grandnephew Michael R. (Krystal) DeCaterina; stepdaughter Virginia Budington; and Virginia's children Kelly Lyons and Thomas Moore.

Helen's life was marked by dedication to her family, faith, and community. Her memory will be cherished by those who knew her.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, May 7th from 9:00am-9:30am at Brooks Funeral Home located at 481 Gidney Avenue, Newburgh, NY.

A Mass of the Christian burial will be held at St. Francis of Assisi Church at 10:00am on Thursday, May 7th located at 145 Benkard Ave, Newburgh, NY.

A burial will follow at St. Francis Cemetery located on Union Avenue in New Windsor, NY.
