Louise Mary Tenney (Gastka) of Lady Lake Fl, (The Villages) entered into rest on May 2, 2026.

Born February 3, 1943, in Newburgh, NY, Louise was the daughter of the late William and Mary (Bartel) Gastka of Newburgh, NY.

Louise retired from CIGNA and moved to Florida with her husband, William, in 1994. She was also involved with several women's business organizations that supported communities through charity events and mentorship programs in New York and Florida. She was an avid reader and a talented crocheter, making several items for family and friends. She enjoyed playing golf, bingo, and never met a store she didn't like. She was generous with her time, gift giving, and, most importantly, her love for family.

Married on January 26, 1963, Louise spent the next 63 years as the loving wife to William Tenney. She was a beloved mother of two children, Sharon Nachbar (Steve) of Florida and William L Tenney Jr (Tami) of Florida, five grandchildren, Michael (Shannon), Gina, Brandon (Reon), Erika, and Brian, ten great-grandchildren, Diana, Joey, Scott, Jameson, Brynn, Isabella, Harper, Nolan, Carsyn, and Anna. She is also survived by her sister, Mary Ellen Antonacci of Stanford, CT, along with several nieces and nephews.

Louise took special joy in her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and had fond memories of birthday parties, sporting events, band concerts, and family gatherings. She always said that if she knew grandkids and great-grandkids were this much fun, she would have had them first.

Following her burial at the Bushnell National Cemetery, a celebration of life will be held for family and friends at a later date. Donations to Hospice ( https://hospice.org/donate ) or UFHealth Pediatric Burn Unit (https://ufhealth.org/conditions-and-treatments/pediatric-burn-program) in her name are appreciated.
