Andrew De Graw - Class of 1983

    Andrew K. De Graw of the Town of Newburgh entered into rest unexpectedly on Sunday, May 10, 2026. He was 60 years old.

A lifelong area resident, he was the son of the late William A. and Judith (Gates) De Graw. He was born July 19, 1965 in Cornwall, NY.

Known as “Andy” by family and friends, he was an Inventory Control Specialist for Amthor Welding Services, Gardiner, NY. He was a life member and past Fire Chief for the Cronomer Valley Fire Department. He was also the past President and Chief for the Orange County Volunteer Chief’s Association. In his youth he enjoyed playing the trumpet with the Cronomer Valley Band. He also enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his children and grandchildren.

Survivors include his fiancé, Christina Dorrmann; mother of his children, Sharon De Graw; children, Tara (Robert J.) Falco of Beacon, Erin (Chris) De Graw of Newburgh, Evan (Allison) De Graw of Newburgh, Kristen Egbertson of Wallkill, and Ashley Dorrmann of Newburgh; brothers, William A. (Anna) De Graw, Jr. of Tulsa, OK, and Matthew (Susan) De Graw of Cornwall; two grandchildren Rylee and Paisley Egbertson; an aunt Deborah A. De Graw of Cornwall along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, and two beloved dogs.

Visitation for family and friends will be Sunday, May 17, 2026 at the Cronomer Valley Fire Department, 296 Rt. 32 (N. Plank Road), Newburgh, NY 12550 from 2 pm-6 pm.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 am on Monday, May 18, 2026 at Saint Francis of Assisi Church, 145 Benkard Avenue, Newburgh, NY 12550.
Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery, 5468 Rt. 9W, Newburgh, NY 12550.
Donations in Andy’s memory can be made to Cronomer Valley Fire Department or the Cronomer Valley Fire Department Benevolent Association (296 N Plank Road Newburgh, NY 12550).
