Joan Helen (Roller) Granieri, of New Windsor, peacefully entered into eternal rest surrounded by the love of her family. She is now reunited in Heaven with the love of her life and sweetheart of 61 years, Vincent S. Granieri, along with her beloved daughter Cindy, who welcomed her home with open arms.

Born to Irving and Helen (Yablonsky) Roller, Joan lived a life rooted in family, tradition, laughter, and unconditional love. Before meeting Vincent, Joan worked as a talented dress seamstress on Lake Street, where her creativity and attention to detail were evident from a young age.

Joan was the heart of her family. She was an incredible mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend whose home was always open to anyone who walked through the door. Friday nights were known for her homemade pizza nights, where family, friends, and even neighborhood kids gathered around her table. She created countless cherished memories through long family rides, picnics in open fields, antiquing adventures, and the simple joy of spending time together.

Known for her spunky personality and unforgettable sense of humor, Joan could make anyone laugh and always brought light into every room she entered. She had a love for chocolate and candy, enjoyed reading, creating handmade dolls, and was known for perfectly ironed clothes and a beautifully cared-for home. She proudly carried on family traditions by making the very best Italian food, lovingly learned from her mother-in-law and shared with generations after her.

Above all else, Joan loved deeply and fiercely. Her family was her entire world, and the love she poured into them will continue for generations to come. She also adored her grandpups, Jessey and Jossey, who brought her so much happiness and comfort.

Joan is survived by her loving children, Vincent Granieri Jr. and his late beloved wife, Andrea, and his companion, Rosemarie Purchia; Michelle Eccleston and her husband, James; Michael Granieri and his wife, Jayme; Patricia Granieri and her fiance, Bert Brink; and Robert Granieri and his wife, Tammy; her cherished grandchildren, Amber, Kim-Marie, Kayla and her wife, Kayla, Michael and his wife, Ashley, Zachary, Tyler, Samantha Geyer and her husband, Nick, and Nicholas; her great-grandchildren, Alexander Lugo and Anthony Archie and Mila and Enzo Granieri, along with great-grandbaby Geyer on the way; her beloved sisters, Carol Botcher and her husband, Albert, and Sheila Walton and her husband, James; as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends who loved her deeply.

She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Vincent S. Granieri; daughter, Cindy Alongi; daughter-in-law, Andrea Granieri, son-in-law Anthony Alongi; her parents, Irving and Helen Roller; her siblings, Irving Roller, Arthur Roller, Jean Smith, and Donna Salese, her brothers- and sisters-in-laws; and several beloved family members who welcomed her home in Heaven.

Though our hearts ache in her absence, we find peace knowing she is reunited once again with her sweetheart. Her laughter, traditions, warmth, and endless love will forever live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. - July 31, 1931 ~ May 12, 2026
