 Kathryn A. Buinicky Geysen, of Rock Tavern, NY entered into eternal rest with her family by her side on September 29, 2017 at St. Luke€™s Cornwall Hospital, Newburgh, NY. She was 67 years old.
The daughter of the late Ernest P. Buinicky and Virginia M. (Parrotto) Buinicky, Kathryn was born on December 24, 1949 in Chicago, IL.
Kathryn was a retired playground monitor for the Washingtonville Central School District in Washingtonville, NY. Beloved by staff and students alike,
"Mrs. G" prided herself on knowing every child's name throughout the school each year. A family statement reads: She meant so much to so many; to some of us she meant the world. All who shared their lives with her were loved and cared for like her family, but those of us lucky enough to be her family were loved and cared for beyond anything one could imagine. Kate, Katie, Aunt Kate, Nannie or Mom: We love her, and she will be greatly missed.
In addition to her mother, Kathryn is survived by her adoring husband, George C. Geysen, at home; her son: Charles Geysen and his wife, Catherine of Albany, NY; her grandsons: George and John Geysen; her siblings: Karen (Gary) of Gillett, PA, James (Elizabeth) of Runnemede, NJ, Jane of Newburgh, NY, Joan (Michael) of Concord, OH, John (Kimberly) of Dayton, OH, Janet (Michael) of Walden, NY, Judith of Albany, NY, Mary (Marc) of Sussex; and many nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Celebration of Kathryn€™s life will be held on Sunday, November 5th from 12 to 4pm at the Salisbury Mills Firehouse Hall, 2128 Route 94, Salisbury Mills, NY 12577 - December 24, 1949 €“ September 29, 2017
