Clarence J. Smith of Montogmery, NY, passed away on Friday, January 13, 2023 at Garnet Health Medical Center, Town of Wallkill, NY. The son of Clarence H. and Mary LeMunyan Smith, he was born on July 7, 1931 in Newburgh, NY. He was 91 years old. He was a former Police Chief for the Town of Montgomery, NY, and was a participant with the Honor Flight 2016 to Washington, DC.

Clarence is survived by his wife, Jane L. Hammond Smith at home; sons: Michael (Dana) Smith of Lincoln, DE and Gary (Lori) Smith of Dallas, TX; Grandchildren: Kaitlin, Benjamin, Valerie, and Rebecca; several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held at 2 PM on Wednesday, January 18th at the Orange County Veterans Cemetery, Craigville Road; Goshen, NY. Burial will be in the Orange County Veterans Cemetery, Goshen, NY.
