Maxine Warner Burton - Class of 1956

Maxine Warner Burton, of New Windsor, NY entered into rest on Monday, July 27,
2026. She was 88 yrs old. Daughter of the late Loren and Frederica (Hunter)
Warner, she was born April 23, 1938 in Newburgh, NY.
Maxine was a retired
owner operator of Burton's Depot in Barbuda . She was a volunteer for Habitat
for Humanity of Greater Newburgh and Meals on Wheels of Greater Newburgh. She
worked as a social worker for various organizations in the Newburgh area and
also as an Election Inspector.
She is survived by a stepson, Ogden
Burton; stepdaughters, Linda Mussington, Caron Burton, Maxine Burton Walker of
Antigua and Barbuda, Lynette Burton of Mt. Vernon, NY, twenty eight step
grandchildren; twenty five step great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews
and a host of other family and friends too numerous to mention.
In
addition to her parents, Maxine was predeceased by her husband, Sir Eric V.
Burton in 2021; three stepsons, Lindy Burton, Clarke Burton and Lincoln Burton
and three stepdaughter, Nioka Burton, Gail Burton and Nan Burton.
Visitation for family and friends will take place Friday, August 7, 2026 from
11:00 am to 2:00 pm at White, Venuto and Morrill Funeral and Cremation Service,
188 N. Plank Road, Newburgh, NY 12550.
A Service will follow at 2:00 pm
at the funeral home.
Private cremation and inturnment will take place at
Cedar Hill Cemetery.
