        Jacqueline Cohen Burch - Class of 1969 ..... Jackie was born on 25 March 1951 in Newburgh, New York. She was a casting director and actress, known for Die Hard (1988), The Breakfast Club (1985) and The Hunger Games (2012). She died on 12 October 2025 in Atlanta, Georgia.

Jackie was a famous casting director for many successful movies. There are many articles about her and her obituary if you Google her. Her brother is Robert Cohen, a famous movie director (XXX) from (NFA Class 1967). Her twin sister is Janice Cohen, also shown in the 1969 Yearbook.

Jackie Burch, a prolific Hollywood casting director who put together memorable ensembles for multiple motion pictures - most notably the 1985 John Hughes drama The Breakfast Club - has died at the age of 74.

Burch passed away in Atlanta on Sunday following a battle with endometrial cancer, her friend Gail Goldberg said in a statement obtained by Deadline.

Burch originally worked as a teacher for the deaf before filling in as an assistant for an executive at Universal Pictures and deciding to transition to working in the entertainment industry.

Burch cast more than 100 film and television productions and worked with directors including John Hughes, John Landis, Warren Beatty, Peter Bogdanovich, and Jim Abrahams.

Her daughters are screenwriter Samy Burch, and singer-songwriter Molly Burch.
