Anna Brooks Krafft - Class of 1983

    Anna J. Krafft, of Mountainville, NY entered into eternal rest on August 29, 2026 at her home. She was 61 years old.

The daughter of the late Warren John Brooks, JR. and JoAnn T. (Ruggiero) Brooks, Anna was born on June 25, 1965 in Newburgh, NY.

Anna was the Sole Practitioner of Krafft Law Firm in Newburgh, NY. She was a graduate of Newburgh Free Academy. Anna received her Bachelor's degree from SUNY New Paltz and her J.D. from the Maurice A. Deane School of Law at Hofstra University.

Anna was a member of King of Kings Lutheran Church, the NY State Bar Association, the Orange County Bar Association, and the Cornwall Republican Committee.

Anna cherished her family and friends, finding great joy in the time she shared with the people she loved, especially her husband, with whom she shared a special and meaningful chapter of her life, her children, whom she loved dearly, and her grandchildren, who brought her immense joy and happiness. She was a woman of determination, strength, and remarkable perseverance who worked tirelessly to earn her law degree, successfully pass the Bar examination, and ultimately achieve her dream of opening and running her own law firm. These accomplishments reflected her unwavering dedication, independence, and commitment to achieving the goals she set for herself. She also enjoyed the simple pleasures of life, getting lost in a good book, spending time on the water boating and fishing, enjoying the excitement of an evening at the casino playing the slots, and cherishing the special bond she shared with her beloved dog, JoJo. She will be remembered not only for all that she accomplished, but for her independent spirit, love of life, and the many cherished memories she created with her family, friends, and all those who were fortunate enough to know and love her.

Anna is survived by husband: David C. Krafft at home; by her sons: Nicholas Steinard of Cornwall, NY, John Steinard of Ellenville, NY and Vincent Engenito of New Windsor, NY; by her 5 grandchildren; and by her brothers: Warren J. Brooks, III and his wife Diana and Jeff Howe and his wife Jennifer.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 3rd at Quigley-Sullivan Funeral Home, Inc., 337 Hudson Street, Cornwall-On-Hudson, NY. A Funeral Service will take place at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, September 4th at King of Kings Lutheran Church, 543 Union Avenue, New Windsor, NY. Interment will follow the Service at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Mountainville, NY.
