    Robert J. Olsen of New Windsor, entered into rest on Saturday, September 5, 2026. He was 74.

Son of the late John N. and Vera (Maloney) Olsen, Sr., he was born September 13, 1951 in Newburgh, NY.

A lifelong area resident, “Bobby” as he was known by family and friends was a retired tile setter who owned and operated Carl L. Olsen & Sons Tile, Newburgh, NY. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, cooking and being outdoors. He had a green thumb, especially with orchids. He loved helping anyone and was a devoted grandfather. In his families words he could fix anything and “He was pretty darn amazing!”

Survivors include three daughters, Katrin (Michael) Rohl of Pennsburg, PA, Mary Olsen of Walden, NY and Vera (Michael) Cabrera of Virginia Beach, VA; brother, John N. (Susan) Olsen, Jr. of Cornwall, NY; two sisters, Kristina Olsen of New Windsor, NY and Lynn (John) Olsen Politi of the Town of Newburgh; six grandchildren, Amy, Sarah, Joshua, Esther, Jaxson and Lilyana, many nieces and nephews; and a host of lifelong friends.

In addition to his parents Bobby was predeceased by a brother, Carl R. Olsen, mother of his children, Amy (Storm) Olsen and a grandson, Brannin. September 13, 1951 - September 5, 2026

Private cremation has taken place at Cedar Hill Crematory.
Plans for a Celebration of Bobby’s Life will be announced at a later date.
