William Ware - Class of 1969

    William Andrew Ware, 75, was born in Newburgh, New York, to the late James and Bertha Ware on November 19, 1950.

Billy was a lifelong member of Best Temple COGIC, joining the Best Temple family at birth.

Billy was educated in the Newburgh School System. After graduation, he lived in Newburgh and Beacon, New York, for most of his life. He was employed for many years at IBM East Fishkill until his retirement and relocated to Batesville, Mississippi, in 2016.

He had a great sense of humor and could always make you laugh. We will miss him tremendously.

Billy was predeceased by his parents, James and Bertha Ware; two sisters, Stella Rogers and Burnette Scurlock; one brother, Tom Brewster Ware; maternal grandparents, Louise and Freeman Walls; and paternal grandparents, Drusilla and Ezekial Ware.

He leaves to mourn his passing and cherish his memories a daughter, Sabrena Russ of Atlanta, GA; a son, William Lamont Ware of Ashville, NC; three sisters, Mamie Rayford of Newburgh, NY, Jeraldine Ware of New Windsor, NY, and Linda Pitchford of Batesville, Miss.; two brothers, James Ware Jr. (Verona) of Wappingers Falls, NY, and Robert Ware (Essie) of Batesville, Miss.; five grandchildren, Maurice, Ron, Sherease, Sheron, and Davonte; and a host of family and friends.
