Lorenzo Moore, Jr., of New Windsor, entered into rest Saturday, September 19, 2026. He was 78.

Son of the late Lorenzo Moore, Sr. and the late Joan Barnes, he was born July 22, 1948.

A lifelong resident of Newburgh, Lorenzo grew up on Lander St. in the City of Newburgh and raised his family in the Town of Newburgh. He was a retired I.T. He was known by all as a generous man willing to help anyone in need. He was raised by his grandmother, Rosa Moore, and was a 1967 graduate of NFA, where he was captain of the basketball team. He was an avid sports fan, cheering for the Dallas Cowboys, NY Mets, and LA Lakers.

He is survived by a son, Lorenzo J. Moore of Newburgh; two daughters, Angela Crumpton of NC and Mia Gill of FL; six grandchildren, Isaiah, Darian, Damaya, D'Andra, Lorenzo A., and Penelope; two great-grandchildren, Zayne and Xyair; a niece, Christina; and two nephews, Navar and Fredrick.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Georgia M. (Spell) Moore, in 2012, and his twin brother, Lindsey.

Private cremation has taken place at Cedar Hill Crematory.

Plans for a Celebration of Lorenzo's Life will be announced at a later date.
