Thank you for posting this. I am very fortunate to call this great man my father. We will miss him dearly.

One correction: He was actually a member of the Class of 44. He didn't graduate, he left school to join the Marines in Jan 1943 when he was a junior at NFA. He got his GED in the service and was honored to get his NYS high school diploma in about 2000 by an act of NY State govt in honor of those who left high school during WWII to serve their country.
