DeCrosta,
Sally Downs formerly Sally Bohlin, a native of Newburgh, N.Y. and recently
of Waterbury, Conn., entered into rest on November 11, 2004. Born December
10, 1955, she was 48 years old. She was predeceased by her doting father,
Sal DeCrosta, and mother, Francis Konkol DeCrosta. She is survived by her
husband, Lindsay Downs of Waterbury, Conn.; daughter Reana Coursey and
son-in-law, David Coursey of Hilton Head Island, S.C.; sister, Jaymee

Cornell-Werner and husband, Jeffrey Werner of Newburgh. She is also
survived by her step-mother, Gloria DeCrosta Aguell of Georgia; many
nieces, nephews and other loving family members, as well as cherished
friends worldwide by whom she will be dearly missed. She was so loved by
all of us. A graduate of NFA, Sally resumed her academic studies while
juggling a full time work schedule with International travel and yet
successfully obtained her degree graduating summa cum laude. Sally's
phenomenal abilities with computers opened doors to an exciting career
working internationally in Germany and Cuba, as well as here in the USA.
On special assignment she used her exceptional skills for intricate
computer work at four International Olympics. Passionate in her love for
all animals, Sally was often surrounded by her many pets. She rescued
abused or abandoned dogs providing a home where her caring touch and
extraordinary love helped them to heal. Although she loved all animals,
from the time she was a toddler with curly blonde locks, her special joy
was in her love for horses. She had the gentlest touch and her own special
language with these beautiful creatures. The time Sally spend riding or at
the stables gave her some of her happiest moments. Sally's quick wit, love
of a practical joke, unique sense of comedy and her raucous laugh were so
infectious that no one was left untouched by knowing her. Her daughter
says, "I will always cherish the untamed spirit of my mother and her
ability to make everyone laugh." As spirited as the horses she loved,
Sally represented all the best of a Free Spirit, living life with her
unique style and amazing zest. With much love, we will hold her memory in
our hearts forever. A memorial service will follow visiting hours Sunday,
November 14, 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. at Brooks-DiDonato Funeral Home, 481 Gidney

Fescoe,
John J. Jr. of Marlboro, NY, entered into eternal peace on March 13, 2009.
He was 54 years young. The son of the late John Sr. and Frances Shaw
Fescoe, John was born February 10, 1955 in Newburgh, NY, the youngest of
three children. John spent his early years growing up in New Windsor and
later made his home in Marlboro with his wife, Mary, and their two
children, John III and Meghan. An avid sportsman, John spent much of his
life either playing sports or as he got older, coaching. As a young man,
John had numerous awards for baseball and was an outstanding pitcher for
New Windsor Little League. He played on several championship teams. When
not on a baseball field or basketball court, John spent cherished moments
fishing with his dad. So many times he shared their fishing stories with
his friends & family. John also was active in the Quassaick Fire
Department for several years before moving to Marlboro. On July 10, 1982,
John married the love of his life, Mary V. Gregorec Fescoe. Together, they
had two beautiful children, John III & Meghan Elizabeth. It was as his
children grew, John took his knowledge of sports and shared it as a coach
for his children as well as countless children in Marlboro & Newburgh.
Some of John's favorite memories and stories that always put a smile on
his face were coaching his son's little league teams and his C.Y.O.
basketball teams. He also coached Meghan's softball and basketball teams.
The most precious memory John spoke of was when he and the late Joe Toombs
started and coached the baseball team "The Marlboro Mutts". John's dream
was truly just to get a group of kids together, play some baseball and
have fun. Anyone who knew John, coached with John or played for John
always knew that it never mattered about winning or losing, it was just
about having fun. In his later years John took tremendous pride in
following his daughter Meghan around the east coast with her A.A.U.
basketball team, always pride gleaming from his eyes. Family was John's
life. Even though he battled cancer for ten years, he never once said "why
me" or gave up hope. Anyone close to John drew strength from his courage.
John is survived by his loving wife of 26 years, Mary, at home. His son,
John III has lost his idol and his loving daughter, Meghan, who worshiped
her dad, has lost her hero. He was Meghan's world and it's hard to imagine
going on without him. John is also survived by a sister, Mrs. Beverly
Leslie and her husband, Robert of Dorsett, VT; his mother-in-law &
father-in-law, Frank & Betty Gregorec; his sisters-in-law, Mrs.
Barbara Fescoe, and Susan Madaia and her husband, Mike; his
brother-in-law, Frank; nephews, Mathew Madaia and Michael Madaia and his
wife Teri; several nieces, nephews, cousins and numerous friends. His
constant companions, Jake & Reese will be lost without him. John was
predeceased by his older brother, Robert Fescoe. The family will be
present to receive friends today, Monday, March 16, from 4-8 p.m. at
Coloni Funeral Home, 3001 Rt. 9W, New Windsor, NY 12553. A Mass of
Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, March 17, at 11 a.m., at

McGrath, Kevin James "Goo" of Montgomery, NY, a local 445 Teamster
for Roadway, Inc. and talented guitarist, entered into rest Sunday, July
20, 2014 in St. Luke's Hospital, Newburgh. He was 58. The son of Lawrence
J .McGrath and Mary A. McNerney McGrath, he was born December 9, 1955 in
Brooklyn, NY. He married Barbara Canzoneri McGrath on August 3, 2002 in
Craigsmoor, NY. Barbara survives at home. Kevin my love, we have been left
helpless by the inability to relieve you of the pain and suffering you
have endured these past 5 ˝ years. We are forever ingratiated to you for
keeping us as your core motivation to research the latest trials so that
you could expertly converse with your oncologist team in the quest for “a
cure”, so that we would not be left alone. You are a hero to many. While
we had great difficulty with your decisions to allow selfless
experimentation, we were proud to learn that people have reaped the
benefits of your selflessness. Through your personal trials, you proved
the efficacy of an oil which could be absorbed in the body by people
suffering from ascites, when they were unable to absorb nutrition. As a
result, it is recommended to patients suffering w/malnutrition due to
ascites, and the hospital pharmacy keeps it in supply. Through your
commitment to your family, you subjected yourself to trial chemo drugs,
while advancing research to help others who have been diagnosed with renal
cell cancer. It was nothing short of amazing to watch you always greet
your oncology team and fellow patients with hope, humor and bravery;
irrespective of your personal suffering. We watched in awe and amazement,
as you immersed yourself in oncological study; educating yourself on the
latest research, teaching yourself how to speak “oncologicalese”, aptly
holding your own in query and discussions with your treatment team -
always prepared to suggest options to explore. You earned their respect
and admiration. You permitted personal experimentation and endured
unspeakable suffering. Our gratitude and admiration to you are limitless
and eternal. You are our “man of steel” and best kept secret. As a gifted
musician and composer; you filled our home with your soulful, melodious
compositions, and artistic talents – the lens from which all you thought,
did and felt, flowed. Thank you, dear Kevin – Dad - “Goo”, for your
boundless love, your commitment, your talent, your strength and sacrifice.
Your legacy lives on . . . In addition to his wife Barbara, he is survived
by his son, Brendan McGrath and stepchildren Ally, Theodore and Maxx
Thueson, and Abdu Abdelhaq; siblings, Eileen McMillian and husband Dave of
Palm Coast, Fl. and Shawn McGrath and wife Lisamarie of New Windsor; and
nieces & nephews, Jamie Chambery of Palm Coast, FL, Lindsay McMillian
of NY, NY and Ashlyn McGrath of New Windsor. Visitation will be held from
